Bourbon County Band Booster Meeting
July 19, 2010

President Tamara Johnson opened the meeting at 6:01 pm. Secretary report distributed by Shonda Ritchie and approved by common consent. Treasurer report distributed by Heather Sparks and approved by common consent.

Old Business:
Paris Bingo - made money this past Tuesday, please have kids and parents work or please get a replacement. The pit will work this Tuesday.

Golf Scramble - we made $1236.50.

Preview Show - Each child needs to have one representative there to work. Committee signups were passed around. If you did not sign up, please contact Tamara to find out where we need help. We sold buttons last year and want to sell Lollinotes ( suckers with band notes on them). Shonda Ritchie motioned to give $50 to the committee to buy supplies, Heather Sparks second, motion carried. We have 2 confirmed ads for the program, Mingua Beef Jerky and Ale-8. We will make up a form to fill out for ads. As of now, Nicholas County, Grant County and LCA are confirmed, Harrison County may possibly come. Order forms will come home for t-shirts.
Lorena, Angie and Pam will take care of the food again, we will sell ribeye sandwiches but in the concession stand.

Kiwanis Club - there is money set aside for the band, Beth Plummer will go to the meeting this Tuesday night to ask for the money.

Winchester Bingo - need people to sign up for July 24th and August 21st.

Blankets - Bev talked about the blankets and will get more information.

New Business:
5K run - will be September 18th. Kids will play again during the run and we will need volunteers. They will split proceeds with Cross Country and Bourbon Band.

Football Games - there are 5 home games

Competitions - dates start Sept 11 and will be until Nov 13. Sept 18 will probably be the only weekend we won’t go out. There is not a competition the weekend between State and Nationals.

Rooms for Alabama - Heather is working on getting rooms. It will be up to parents to reserve and pay for the rooms.
**Heather Sparks and Tamara Johnson will be sending mass e-mails to parents to keep everyone updated. Please make sure they have your current e-mail.
