Coming to a competition near you...
Bourbon County Colonels take 3rd in the Bands of America
Grand Nationals Semi-Finals!
The final competition of the year took the Marching Colonels
to Indianapolis, Indiana for the Bands of America Grand
Nationals competition. This year, Bourbon County moved
up a class into AA with tougher competition. We are proud
of the accomplishments this band has obtained all season
and this was a great ending to a very successful season.
The Bourbon County Marching Colonels have been the Class
single A Grand National Champions for 2008, 2009, and
2010.
The
Bourbon County Marching Colonels made it through another
grueling band camp this year. It will all be worth the
time and sweat poured into those weeks of preparation
for the 2011 marching season.
Recaps
of the 2010 Marching Season In
2010, the Marching Colonels achieved the top honor of
any Class A band in the nation. The band brought home
the title of Class A National Champion for the third year
in a row! This caps off another tremendous year of success
with many Grand Championships including capturing second
place in the KMEA State Band Competition.
2010
KMEA State Finalist Runners Up The
Marching Colonels achieved second place in the KMEA
State Band Competition on October 30th. This is a great
achievement and is a result of the hard work a dedication
by the players and instructors. We are proud of all
of the achievements the band has obtained throughout
this marching season!
